Description
2025 WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 2025 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows on the ear, the eyelid and TRUST, and slightly on the Y of LIBERTY. On the obverse, a series of light vertical scratches runs through the throat area, and a tiny gouge (dot) lies north of the IB of LIBERTY. On the reverse, a pair of gouges (dots) lies in the field between the U of UNITED and the shield's left edge, and a series of light diagonal scratches lies under the BUS of PLURIBUS. Steven J. Bernatowicz submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
