Description
Doubling shows on the upper Y in LIBERTY and on the RU in TRUST. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge (dot) shows in the field above the IB in LIBERTY. Two die gouges (dots) show in Lincoln’s upper hair below the E in WE. Two die gouges (dots) show at the junction of Lincoln’s upper forehead and his hair curl. A die crack runs over Lincoln’s eyebrow and NNW into his forehead. Reverse: A pair of die gouges (dots) show in the field to the left of the tip of the shield. A tiny die gouge (dot) shows to the right of the L in PLURIBUS. A die gouge (dot) shows on the central right arm of the first U in PLURIBUS. A die gouge (dot) shows above the E in CENT. A die gouge (dot) shows to the right of the right central edge of the shield. A die gouge (dot) shows on the right ribbon curl.
