2025 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-002

Description

2025 WDDO-002 is a doubled die obverse on the 2025 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows on the date's first 2, at its upper part, and on the Y of LIBERTY at its right edge. Obverse markers: a gouge (dot) over the R of LIBERTY; a series of gouges in the field under the ERT of LIBERTY and on the back of the bust; an area of light die damage under the S of TRUST; a curved crack across the eyebrow, NE of the eye; and a gouge (dot) on the back of the hair, left of the lower ear. Reverse markers: a gouge (dot) inside the O of OF, in its opening; an area of die damage on the lower part of OF's F; a pre-die crack depression on the shield's upper left edge; a gouge (dot) right of the shield's right central edge; and a gouge (dot) on the right ribbon curl.
