2024 (P) Hon. Patsy Takemoto Mink Quarter - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-007

Description

2024-P PTM WDDO-007 is a doubled die obverse on the 2024-P Hon. Patsy Takemoto Mink quarter (American Women series), cataloged by the Wexler team. Strong doubling to the NW shows on the 20 of the date and on the hair detail, and another spread runs south on the eyelid and upper hair detail. Obverse markers: a short crack with a small chip on the eyelid; a thin crack across the nose tip; a thin east-west scratch under the ear; a large gouge on the upper curve of the date's first 2 and a small gouge over that 2; a small gouge on the neck NE of the designer's initials LGF; a thin NW/SE scratch right of WE; right of the L of LIBERTY, at the rim, a gouge; and a small gouge at the rim over the B of LIBERTY. Reverse markers: thin east-west scratches over most of the reverse; thin NW/SE scratches crossing the top of the Title IX paper and AMERICA; short east-west scratches between the I and X of TITLE IX; and a gouge over the RT of OPPORTUNITY.
