Description

Strong doubling to the NW on the 20 in the date and hair detail. An additional spread to the S on the eyelid and upper hair detail.Die Markers: Obverse: Short die crack with small die chip on the eyelid. Thin die crack across the tip of the nose. Thin E/W die scratch below the ear. Large die gouge on the upper curve of the first 2 in the day. Small die gouge above the first 2 in the date. Small die gouge on neck NE of the designer's initials LGF. Thin NW/SE die scratch right of WE. Die gouge at the rim right of the L in LIBERTY. Small die gouge at the rim above the B in LIBERTY. Reverse: Thin E/W die scratches throughout most of the reverse. Thin NW/SE die scratches through AMERICA and the top of the Title IX paper. Short E/W die scratches between the I and X in TITLE IX. Reverse: Reverse is WDDR-003, strong doubling to the SW at the bottom left corner of the Title IX papers and Mink's bracelet. Additional slight doubling below Mink's thumb, above the lua left of the Capitol Building dome, and at Mink's hair near the top of the Capitol Dome Statue of Freedom. Die cracks and chips along the bottom of Mink's extended wrist. Die chip and two pre-die break depressions above the UA in EQUAL. NE/SW die crack across Mink's right elbow. Die crack SE from Mink's armpit. Weak die gouge above Mink's right shoulder. Weak die gouge in the upper curve of the S in PATSY. Die gouge inside the first U in PLURIBUS. Die gouge inside the upper opening of the N in UNUM. Die gouge between the bottom of the I and T in UNITED. Die gouge above the OR in OPPORTUNITY. Die gouge NE of the Y in OPPORTUNITY. Die gouge between the A and T in PATSY. Die gouge inside the Y in PATSY.
