Cataloged by VarietyVista as DDR-003 for the 2018 America the Beautiful Quarter, this variety presents light spread east as an extra tip to feather number 7 from the bottom on the reverse design. The eastward displacement at a single feather tip indicates a very localized expression of hub doubling, where the secondary impression is most visible at thin design elements that amplify the offset between primary and secondary contours. Die markers UVC-2385 and DMR-002 identify the specific working die across three documented stages. Stage A begins at Mid Die State (unconfirmed) — notably, no Early Die State has been confirmed, which may indicate this variety was not identified until the die had already progressed past its earliest strikes. Stage B shows a die chip developing between the topmost feathers at MDS while the obverse has progressed to Late Die State, creating an asymmetric die wear pattern. Stage C represents LDS, unconfirmed.
