2013 (P) Mount Rushmore National Memorial Quarter - P-25DER-01 Trail Die Reverse
Error
Description
TrailDies' number 2013P-25DER-01 belongs to a 2013 Philadelphia Mount Rushmore quarter: the year and mint, 25 for the quarter, DER for a reverse design extension and a two-digit file number, 01, with no type letter after it. The trails leave the worker shown hanging on the carving and point at 010°, a touch east of due north, toward the top of the coin. The coin TrailDies describes is an early die state, stage A, with no markers recorded on either side, and it came out of a U.S. Mint set. George C. Goddard found the die. Polishing with a rotary tool is how trails are normally explained, while a smaller camp ties them to die-against-hub movement.
Die Markers
- Stage "A", obverse is EDS – none noted.
- Reverse is EDS – none noted.
