Discovered by Tanaka Davis, this trail die obverse on a 2007 Philadelphia Mint Utah State Quarter represents the first documented trail die for this date and state. Trail dies result from incomplete or misaligned hubbing during die production, leaving residual design impressions that transfer to struck coins as ghost-like traces of design elements. Die markers place this variety at Stage B, with the obverse in mid die state showing a die crack with die chip on the left bottom tip of the bust extending into the field. No reverse die markers have been noted.
