Description
2007-P WDDR-006 is a doubled die reverse on the 2007 George Washington Presidential dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling sits where the Statue of Liberty's right arm crosses the second ray, counting clockwise from her head. The obverse has several gouges at the dates. In 1789, one sits just over the 7, at its right side, one lies right of the 7's lower part, and one is under the right side of the 8. In 1797, a gouge lies between the bases of the 7 and 9. On the reverse, OF's F has two gouges right of its center, and AMERICA's second A has a strong gouge running WSW off its bottom right. Shawn Bell submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
