Description

Doubling shows at the intersection of the 2nd ray clockwise from the head and the right arm of the Statue of Liberty. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge can be found just above the right side of the 7 in 1789. A die gouge can be found to the right of the lower 7 in 1789. A die gouge can be found below the right side of the 8 in 1789. A die gouge can be found between the bottoms of the 7 and 9 of 1797. Reverse: Two die gouges can be found to the right of the center of the F in OF. A strong die gouge runs WSW from the bottom right of the 2nd A in AMERICA. Obverse:
