2006 (P) North Dakota State Quarter - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-001

Description

2006-P ND WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 2006-P North Dakota state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the earlobe's underside. Obverse markers: a small gouge right of the M of AMERICA, level with its center; two gouges right of the R of DOLLAR, up high; and a crack crossing the bust's base and running through the upper part of the designer's initials. Reverse markers: a strong gouge between the sun's first two rays, counting clockwise (CW); a small gouge left of the 1 of 1889 near its top; and a small gouge left of the H of NORTH, low down. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
