Documented by Cuds on Coins on June 12, 2018, with no established cross-reference number, the CU-25c-2006P-03R(ND) is a cud error found on the reverse of a 2006-P North Dakota State Quarter. The catalog designation indicates this is a reverse cud documented for the 2006-P North Dakota issue. The accompanying note records die cracks on the bottom of the bust on the obverse, providing supplementary die state context — the obverse die cracking at Washington's bust suggests the die pair was in a later stage of its production life when the reverse cud break occurred. Cuds form when a section of the die rim fractures and separates, leaving a cavity in the die that produces a raised, smooth, featureless blob of metal on the struck coin's rim area.
