Description

TrailDies describes the trails on 2003D-1DEO-001T as weak lines coming from the letters of LIBERTY, with an offset of 330°, north-northwest, so they lean up and to the left. The number is a 2003 Denver cent (2003D, 1), DEO for an obverse design extension, file number 001 and a closing T for a trail die. The coin in the entry is at a middle die state, with a series of small gouges around the date and the mint mark on the obverse and cracks on columns 1 and 2 of the reverse. The entry names no finder. Because the lines are faint, those gouges and cracks are a useful check.
