Description
2000P(SAC)-100DER-002T is a 2000 Philadelphia Sacagawea dollar reverse with trails across much of the eagle side. TrailDies tags the series with (SAC) after the date and mint; 100 is the dollar, DER a reverse design extension, 002 the file and T the trail type. Lines leave the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM, the stars on the left, the feather tips of the eagle's right wing, the word ONE and UNIT in UNITED, all heading northwest at 330°. Tanaka Davis found the die. On the late-state coin shown, small dots cluster around the G in GOD and the leading T in TRUST, and the reverse has a light scratch just left of OF. Trails are usually explained by polishing of the die with a rotary buff; some attribute them to the die moving against the hub.

- Stage “C “, obverse is LDS – small die dots are seen in and around the G of GOD and the first T of TRUST.
- Reverse is LDS – a light die scratch is seen just to the left of the O in OF.
