1999 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-007

Description

Cataloged by the Wexler Team as 1999 1¢ WDDR-007, this Lincoln Memorial Cent displays doubling on the right side of the sixth column to the left of the upper statue within the Lincoln Memorial design. The Wexler notes indicate this is a replacement listing — the original WDDR-007 was a "wavy steps" variety, a class of anomalies no longer believed to represent true doubled dies, prompting the substitution of this column-doubling variety into the vacated catalog position.
