1992 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - D-1DER-018T Trail Die Reverse

Description

1992D-1DER-018T, a 1992 Denver cent reverse, has trails at 330°, pointing up and left, north-northwest. They come from E PLURIBUS UNUM, from UNITED STATES and from the tops of the left-hand columns. The code's parts are the date with D for Denver, the one-cent 1, the reverse marker DER, file 018 and T for trails. Its middle-die-state coin has three small gouges in Lincoln's vest and another above the first 9 of the date; TrailDies lists nothing on the reverse. Joe Koelling found the die. Trails are usually put down to polishing of the die with a rotary buff, though a minority sees the die moving against the hub behind them.
