Description
1992D-1DER-005T is a dual-direction trail die. Its code stands for a 1992 Denver cent (1992D, 1), a reverse design extension in TrailDies' terms (DER), file 005 and trails (T). On the left side of the reverse the lines run west, at 270°, toward the left rim; across the top and the right side they run north, at 000°, toward the top of the coin. TrailDies does not list which letters carry each set, and it found no die markers on either side of the middle-die-state coin. Bill Slaughter of Arkansas found it. Trails are generally put down to the die being polished with a rotary tool; some instead point to movement of the die against the hub.
