Description

270º DESCRIPTION : Short, moderate trail lines from the tops of the letters in UNITED. The trail lines are carried over to the word STATES where the letters STATE have indications of design extension. There are faint trail lines seen on the left side letters of EPU. The offset direction is 270º. This die was found by Bill Slaughter of Arkansas. DIE MARKERS : Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die gouge under Lincoln’s chin. Reverse is MDS – small die dot in the letter M of UNUM.
