D/D Northwest Die Markers: Obverse: About E to W die scratches in front of Lincoln’s profile including through the date and mint mark. Multi-directional die scratches above LIBERTY. Die dot right of upper ear. Reverse: Die gouge above I in UNITED. Die gouge right of second S in STATES. Die scratches run SE through STATES, memorial bays, and below Lincoln memorial. Die gouge in N in CENT.
