Description
1970-S WRPM-001 is a repunched mint mark on the 1970-S proof Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. A secondary S lies west of the primary S (S/S West). Wexler notes no significant obverse markers. Wexler also lists the reverse as a doubled die, 1970-S WDDR-013, with a spread toward the center that decreases from left to right, seen on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and E PLURIBUS UNUM. Beside the top of the small window on Monticello's left side, on its right, are small gouges. Timothy Wissert submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as RPM #8.
