1964 Proof Lincoln Memorial Cent - PR-1DER-002T Trail Die Reverse

Description

A second 1964 proof cent reverse, 1964PR-1DER-002T, has trails on the STA of STATES that TrailDies itself calls fairly minor. They head 030°, north-northeast, up and a little to the right. Broken down, the number is the date with PR for proof, then 1 for the cent, DER for a design extension on the reverse, 002 as the file number and T for trails. Like 1964PR-1DER-001T, it was found by Bob Piazza of Florida, but that die's trails are on AMERICA and point the other way. No die markers are listed. Rotary-buff polishing of the die explains trails for most specialists; some prefer movement of the die against the hub.
