Description
1963-D WDDO-007 is a doubled die obverse on the 1963-D Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. A very close spread appears on the ribbon's bottom and on TRUST. On the obverse, from the middle of the nose a scratch heads north, while a WNW/ESE scratch lies right of the Y in LIBERTY, near its bottom. On the reverse, a crack descends the eagle's right wing and reaches the Q in QUARTER, and a small gouge sits beside the first A in AMERICA, left of its bottom. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
