Description
1954PR-1DEO-001T is a 1954 proof Lincoln Wheat cent obverse with short trails from LIBERTY, from the word IN and from the date. They point 160°, south-southeast, down and a little right. PR in the code stands for proof; 1 is the cent, DEO an obverse design extension, and 001T file 001 of the trail type. On the stage B coin TrailDies describes, scratches run diagonally from northwest to southeast in front of Lincoln's lips and chin, and the reverse has a small crack in the upper left ear of wheat. TrailDies names no finder for this die. Rotary polishing of the die is the usual explanation for trails; some writers point to the die moving against the hub.
