Cross-referenced as Fivaz-Stanton FS-501, this VarietyVista-documented 1954-D Jefferson Nickel exhibits a D/D South repunched mintmark that is sometimes mistakenly called a D/S, though examination confirms it as a repunched D. Die markers UVC-394 / DMR-004: Stage A at EDS (unconfirmed); Stage B at MDS (unconfirmed); Stage C with reverse and obverse at LDS. The FS-501 listing makes this actively sought by Cherrypickers' Guide users. Composed of 75% copper and 25% nickel at 5.0 grams and 21.21 mm, struck at the Denver Mint.
