Description
1949-S WRPM-004 is a repunched mint mark on the 1949-S Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. A secondary S lies west of the primary S (S/S West). On the obverse, a diagonal die scratch sits inside the upper B in LIBERTY. On the reverse, a small gouge lies just right of the mint mark's bottom, and beside the D in UNITED, right of its top, sits a small gouge (dot). Brian Ribar submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as RPM #3.
