1949 (D) Roosevelt Dime - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-002

Description

1949-D WRPM-002 is a repunched mint mark on the 1949-D Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D Tilted (Rotated). On the obverse, a die chip sits on the nose above the nostril. On the reverse, a gouge touches the E in AMERICA at its lower left corner. Doug Yost submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as RPM #1.
