Error
Description
A spread towards the center shows on the letters of LIBERTY, the designer’s initials, and slightly on the date and the letters of IN GOD WE TRUST. Die Markers: Obverse: Strong circular die scratches radiate on Roosevelt’s head. A strong die gouge can be found at the bottom of the upper inside of the upper Y of LIBERTY. Reverse: A short die gouge protrudes from the upper center right side of the E in UNITED. Three parallel die scratches run SW to NE between the D of UNITED and the 1st S of STATES. A die gouge can be found at the rim to the right of the 2nd S in STATES. Two parallel die scratches run ENE from the bottom right side of the 2nd A in AMERICA to the dot.
