Documented by VarietyVista with die markers UVC-0923 and DMR-023, this 1946 Washington Silver Quarter DDR-006 displays light spread on OF AMERICA — a selective reverse doubling pattern where the hub displacement produced detectable separation on only a portion of the reverse inscription. Three die stages document progression: Stage A in early die state (EDS), unconfirmed; Stage B at mid-die-state (MDS) showing a die crack from the eagle's right wing to the Q of QUARTER, a die crack across the upper hair, and minor counterclockwise doubling on RTY of LIBERTY; and Stage C at late die state (LDS), unconfirmed. The Stage B features are particularly informative because they document both progressive die deterioration (the wing-to-Q crack and upper hair crack) and additional minor doubling on the obverse (CCW on RTY), suggesting this specific working die developed structural issues alongside the reverse hub doubling that defines the DDR classification. The counterclockwise doubling on RTY at Stage B may represent a secondary obverse anomaly or observation of the die's progressive condition.
