This variety was discovered on the 1945 (S) Jefferson Nickel - Wartime Silver Alloy, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: UVC-342 DMR-030 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Reverse and Obverse are MDS Stage C: Numerous die scratches North-South on upper Left Reverse – LMDS Numerous die scratches North-South on Obverse – LMDS Stage D: LDS (unconfirmed).
