This variety was discovered on the 1945 (S) Jefferson Nickel - Wartime Silver Alloy, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: UVC-341 DMR-029 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: MDS (unconfirmed) Stage C: Die crack Right dome window South between pillar # 3 and # 4 – LDS Die gouge East-West across upper hair – LDS Stage D: Die crack from Right dome extends to rim at K-6:00 – VLDS Die crack from mintmark North to rim through B of PLURIBUS Die crack on lower bust – VVLDS.
