Description
1943-S WDDO-003 is a doubled die obverse on the 1943-S Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. A very close clockwise (CW) spread pivoting from about 6:00 appears on LIBERTY, and very slightly on IN GOD WE TRUST. On the obverse, scratches head south off the first T in TRUST from its top left and off the bottom of the U in TRUST. In the field over IN GOD WE TRUST, two long parallel scratches run SSW/NNE, and right of the queue several SW/NE scratches run. Wexler notes no significant reverse markers. Geoffrey Fults submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
