The 1942-S Repunched Mintmark RPM-007 is a repunched mint mark variety of the United States nickel. This variety was discovered on the 1942 (S) Jefferson Nickel - Wartime Silver Alloy, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: UVC-049 DMR-008 Stage A: Reverse and Obverse are EDS Stage B: Light die crack South from Right dome – MDS Die crack South from E of MONTICELLO through O of OF Die crack from the top of pillar # 1 to the bottom of pillar # 2 Die crack Southeast through hair – MDS Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed). S/S West. I need to see a specimen for new digital color photos.
