This variety was discovered on the 1942 (S) Jefferson Nickel - Wartime Silver Alloy, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: UVC-045 DMR-004 Stage A: Reverse and Obverse are EMDS Stage B: Die crack North from dome to rim through mintmark and the Left leg of the 2nd U of PLURIBUS – MDS Die crack connects upper CENT of CENTS Die crack connects E of FIVE with C of CENTS Light die crack Northwest through upper hair – MDS Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed).
