Cross-referenced as Fivaz-Stanton FS-501, this VarietyVista-documented 1942-S wartime silver Jefferson Nickel holds the primary catalog position with an S/S/S West, West triple-punched mintmark. Die markers UVC-043 / DMR-002: Stage A with reverse at EDS, a die crack from rim at K-6 north through most of collar at MDS, and a die crack from rim at collar point along collar fold; Stage B at MDS (unconfirmed); Stage C at LDS (unconfirmed). The triple S/S/S pattern documents three separate punch applications at the San Francisco Mint, each shifted westward.
