1940-D Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-004

Description

A spread to the north shows on IN GOD WE TRUST. Possible doubling shows on the right end of the underside of the horizontal crossbar of the 4. Die Markers: Obverse: A cluster of short die scratches can be found to the left of Washington’s nose. Two short, parallel die scratches can be found above the D of GOD. Reverse: A die scratch extends northeast from the center right side of the 2nd L in DOLLAR. A die scratch extends northeast from the leaves to the left of the arrow tips.
