Description
1940-D WDDO-007 is a doubled die obverse on the 1940-D Mercury dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling, a Class II spread toward the center, is on the date. On the obverse, light parallel north-south die scratches lie right of the D in GOD. On the reverse, a SW/NE scratch sits in the gap separating DIME's E from the star. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
