1939 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-004

Description

DDO-004 on the 1939 Washington Quarter exhibits a light rotational spread on the RTY of LIBERTY and a strong spread on WE of IN GOD WE TRUST, making the motto the most diagnostically useful area for attribution. The quarter was struck in 90% silver at the Philadelphia Mint. Die markers are catalogued under UVC-0089 and DMR-006, providing the VarietyVista die pair identification.
