1925 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-002

Description

Very close doubling shows on the designer’s initials and the date. Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratches run SW/NE through TRUST. Reverse: The reverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1925 $1 WDDR-002. Light doubling shows on the olive branch and leaves, DOLLAR, and the rays. Two die gouges run through the right leg of the A in PEACE. A small die gouge can be found inside the C of PEACE.
