Description
=1884-O VAM-19 Doubled 18, Very Far Date, High O Tilted Left= Discovered by Jim Baxter, April 1975. Revised 2018 to add High O Tilted Left and three die markers; also replaced Reverse C3a with Reverse C3t, Rod Meader. 19 III2 7 - C3t (Doubled 18, Very Far Date, High O Tilted Left) (181) Obverse III2 7 - Doubled 18 with 1 top faintly as thin line starting at middle of upper curve to almost right side plus left 8 faintly at top left outside. Date set much further right than normal. Doubling on 18 disappears from die wear/polishing. ''Die markers''- A few raised dots from rusted die pits back of Liberty head neck. Short gouge at top of middle wheat leaf between wheat grains. Reverse C3t - II O mint mark set a little high and tilted slightly to left. ''Die marker''- Horizontal die polishing line or two at top left of eagle's left leg.
