1879-S VAM-18B Doubled Date, S Tilted Left, Chip on Wreath Discovery Brent Fogelberg, March 2022 III2 9 • C3b (Doubled Date, S Tilted Left, Chip on Wreath) (?) Reverse C3b - Centered IV S mint mark tilted to left. Medium die chip on left wreath leaf opposite U in UNITED Emission sequence: reverse 1879-S VAM-38, 1879-S VAM-122, 1879-S VAM-27, 1879-S VAM-18, 1879-S VAM-18A, 1879-S VAM-18B, 1879-S VAM-85, 1880-S VAM-124. Notes: Exact same reverse die used for 1879-S VAM-18, 1879-S VAM-18A, 1879-S VAM-18B, 1879-S VAM-27, 1879-S VAM-38, 1879-S VAM-85, 1879-S VAM-122 & 1880-S VAM-124. Only 1879-S VAM-85 and 18B have the die chip on the reverse leaf as well as 1880-S VAM-124.
