=1878-S VAM-27A Long Nock, Broken N and D= Discovered by Chuck Emery, July 2015 This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAMs & WOW! VAMs. This coin is a Top 30 1878-S Variety. 27A II 1 · B1b (Long Center Arrow Shaft, Die Wear Lines ONE DOLL) (184) Obverse II 1– Three faint spikes below eyelid front, short vertical line in eyelid top corner and short vertical line at top of eye socket above eyelid. Reverse B1b– Raised vertical die wear lines from denticle edges into field below ONE DOLL and some extending to ONE DOLL letters. Single line from each denticle edge. Also has long verticle die wear line up from right side of wreath bow and at first left op berry of left wreath and first right top berry of right wreath. Likely caused by improperly basined die or slightly tilted die planchet metal flow back towards coin center instead of normally outward.
