Description
1878-S VAM-27 Long Nock, Broken N and D Discovered by Jeff Oxman, April 1995. This coin is a Top 100 and a WOW! Morgan VAM and Top 30 1878 S Variety 27(revised) II 1 · B1b (Long Center Arrow Shaft) (185) Obverse II 1– Three faint spikes below eyelid front, short vertical line in eyelid top corner and short vertical line at top of eye socket above eyelid. Reverse B1b– Small III S mint mark centered and upright. Die marker of medium-sized die chip above top arrow feather. No diagonal polishing lines on tail feathers next to eagle’s right leg. Denticle above second S in STATES broken.
