Description

TDC-100c-2007-01(GW) is a typical die clash on a 2007-P George Washington Presidential dollar, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. The clash is partly abraded. The obverse has one clash mark, through Washington's eye, formed by Liberty's right (torch) arm and the hem of her right sleeve. On the reverse, Washington's right eye left a strong mark between the dollar sign and the 1. A fold in the scarf around Washington's neck gives Liberty's crown an extra ray, and the one abraded spot on the reverse is the mark under Liberty's chin left by Washington's cheekbone. The coin was also struck through heavy grease deposits that left a crinkled surface on parts of the field and the design, most of all around the dollar sign, the 1 and the right sleeve of Liberty's gown.
