About This Coin
Copper tokens struck at Matthew Boulton's Soho Mint in Birmingham, England, for the New York City firm of Talbot, Allum & Lee, importers of Indian goods. The obverse shows a ship and the reverse depicts a seated figure of Liberty. Produced in 1794 and 1795 with various edge types. These are among the most common colonial-era tokens.
