One of the most iconic early American tokens, the Bar Cent features 13 horizontal bars representing the original states on the obverse and an interlocking 'USA' monogram on the reverse. Dated circa 1785, its origin and purpose remain uncertain, but it is universally collected as a significant artifact of early American numismatics.
