John Reich's Capped Bust design adapted for the half dime when production resumed after a 24-year hiatus. These were struck using the close collar technology introduced by Chief Coiner Adam Eckfeldt, producing more uniform coins than earlier issues. The series is relatively short and affordable, making it popular with type collectors.
