Error
Description
Doubling shows at the base of the 7th, 9th, and 11th vertical stripes on the middle portion of the shield. Die Markers: Obverse: A vertical die crack runs north through the top of head and into the W in WE. A series of die cracks run northwest above the eye. A tiny die gouge (dot) shows on the front of the upper lapel. A similar die gouge (dot) shows behind the upper lapel. Two die gouges (dots) show under the letter B in LIBERTY. Reverse: Three die gouges (dots) show in the field to the left of the U in UNITED. A vertical die crack runs through the left edge of the O in OF. A die gouge (dot) shows to the left of the lower E in E PLURIBUS. A die chip and associated die cracks show on the upper shield edge above the letters UR in PLURIBUS.
