2024 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-005

Description

2024 WDDO-005 is a doubled die obverse on the 2024 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Doubling shows on the Y of LIBERTY at its right edge, and on the ear along its lower edge. On the obverse, a gouge (dot) lies along the SW edge of the O in GOD, another lies under TRUST's R, below its right arm, and a series of die flow lines shows on the lower jacket. Reverse markers: a tiny gouge (dot) on an upper stripe of the shield, below UNUM's first U; a series of gouges (dots) over the O of ONE and to its right; above the T of CENT, a diagonal gouge under the right ribbon curl, at its left edge; and a small gouge on the L of the initials LB at its lower left edge. Steven J. Bernatowicz submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
