Description
2024 WDDO-004 is a doubled die obverse on the 2024 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The ear is doubled toward the SW, and the Y of LIBERTY slightly toward the south. Obverse markers: a vertical gouge running up to the rim over TRUST's last T; die damage at the back of the upper nose; a series of cracks and chips on the eyebrow; and gouges (dots) in the field left of the lower ear. Reverse markers: two vertical gouges running up to the rim over the O of OF; two chips with associated cracks on the shield's upper left edge, over the PLU of PLURIBUS; and a series of gouges inside the O of ONE. Steven J. Bernatowicz submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
