Description
Doubling shows inside of Maya Angelou’s earring.Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: WMDO-001. Die chip on the bridge of the nose. Die crack across the back of the mouth. Feeder finger scrapes behind the ear and between the ponytail and neck. Multiple die gouges left and above the mintmark P. Die gouge above the crack at the back of the mouth. Die gouge in front of the chin. Die gouge below the right side of the L in LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: Stage A markers still present. Weak die clash remnant of Angelou's face behind the ear. Additional die gouge above the mintmark P. Large die gouge at the inner curve of the first 2 in the date. Die gouge below the U in TRUST. Die gouge near the rim above the right side of the L in LIBERTY. Reverse Stage A: WMDR-001. Die dent at the rim below the LL in DOLLAR. Thin WNE/ESE die scratch above the head. Die gouge above the left side of the U in ANGELOU. Die gouge right of the A in ANGELOU. Reverse Stage B: Stage A die markers still present. Weak die clash remnant by the front feather of the left wing. Die scrapes above and right of the U in ANGELOU. Large die gouge far NW of the Q in QUARTER. Series of small die gouges midway between the L's in DOLLAR and the tail feathers of the bird silhouette. Large die gouge SW of the E in EPU.
