Description
2022-D WDDR-005 is a doubled die reverse on the 2022-D Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. UNITED and the designers' initials show strong extra thickness, and the rest of USA (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) shows light extra thickness. Obverse markers: a gouge over the first 2 of the date; a gouge over the tail of the date's 2; and on the shoulder, a gouge far above the designer's initials VDB. On the reverse, one gouge lies right of the U in UNITED and another right of the scroll's right side. Frank Baumann III submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
