Description

Moderate extra thickness can be found throughout the reverse lettering. Extra thickness is especially noticeable on the lower serifs of USA.Die Markers: Obverse: Small die gouge touches the top of the 0 in the date. Small die gouge between the lower B and E in LIBERTY. Reverse: Die crack across the top left side of the shield. Die gouge touches the lower left serif of the T in UNITED. Small die gouge right of the last A in AMERICA. Small die gouge southeast of the F in the designer’s initials JFM. Die gouge below the left side of the scroll. Large die gouge in front of the nose. Reverse: Die crack across the top left side of the shield with a large pre-die break depression above the left side of the U in PLURIBUS. Large die gouge below the O in OF (lower than the gouge on WDDR-001). Large die gouge left of the upper tip of the shield. Die gouge left of the bottom of the U in UNITED. Die gouges below and right of the D in UNITED. Die gouge left of the O in OF. Die gouge touches the bottom of the I in AMERICA.
