About This Coin
The 2021 Tuskegee Airmen and Crossing the Delaware Quarters is a United States quarter from the America the Beautiful Quarters 2010-2021 series. The obverse features George Washington facing left, based on a 1786 bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon, while the reverse displays unique designs featuring national parks and sites from each state and territory. Designed by John Flanagan (obverse) / various reverse designers. Struck in 75% copper, 25% nickel over a pure copper center, with a reeded edge. Produced at the Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco Mints. The America the Beautiful Quarters Program (2010-2021) continued the legacy of rotating reverse designs, featuring national parks, monuments, forests, and historic sites. Five designs were released each year, showcasing the nation's natural and cultural heritage. The program included both standard clad quarters and special 5 oz. silver bullion versions. Silver proof and First Day of Issue specimens are popular with collectors.
